Brighton Tournament 2016

On Saturday 2nd April 2016 Sound Tennis Sussex welcomed Metro Blind Sport for the second challenge match at the Withdean Sports Complex. following the victory by Metro at the first tournament in 2015 Sussex were determined to win back the ESAB cup.

The Sussex team were strengthened by players from Eastbourne and a guest appearance from Sarah Fortescue and there were a number of highly competitive and stamina sapping  matches demonstrating the continuing improvement across the sport.

The Competition winners were:

Ladies singles

Runner up Christine Laurence


Mens Singles

Winner Chris Baily

Runner Up Callum Lock


Mixed Doubles
Winners Callum Lock and Sarah Fortescue
Runners Up Chris Baily and Christine Laurence

With all  winners and runners up Sussex were convincing winners and bought home the cup but no doubt Metro will be all out to win it back next year. Bring it on!
